Pre and Post Care
Beamlight UV Eyelash Extensions
-
The latest technology in eyelash extensions, with no downtime these lashes are able to get wet immediately unlike traditional lash extensions allowing you to swim, sweat, apply, and remove makeup with less risk of degrading the lash adhesive.
The adhesive is bonded to your natural lashes via UV light, which cures the adhesive immediately whereas traditional lash adhesives take up to 48 hours to completely cure. The UV light is 6x less intense than nail UV lights and there is no direct contact with the eye.
In a normal lash cycle we lose approximately 20% of our natural lashes every 2-4 weeks but don't worry natural lashes do grow back in their place. This means you will need a gap fill or refill from 2-4 weeks to spot-fill any areas where natural lashes have fallen out.
If left for too long you may have to get a fresh new set instead of just refills, so save money and time and book your refill regularly.

Please arrive with all eye makeup removed, or you may be charged for makeup removal ($25.00 15mins)

If you have allergies or sensitivities to UV, latex, adhesives, tapes, and pads please advise prior to your appointment as alternative materials may be used, or you will be advised if this treatment may not be suitable for you.

UV BEAMLIGHT lashes can get wet immediately after the procedure, there is no curing time unlike traditional lash extension adhesives
No heating or curling of the lashes as this will degrade the glue
Gentle oil-based cleaners are able to be used on your eye area, but keep rubbing to a minimum as this will degrade the glue and your extensions will not adhere for the maximum period
Do not rub your eyes, carefully remove any debris or fluff with a clean mascara wand
Permanent Makeup
-
Cosmetic tattooing is a special procedure which is unlike traditional tattooing, the pigment does not go as deep into the epidermis (top layer of skin) as traditional tattoos, this means that permanent makeup will fade over time. It is recommended to touch-up 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure has healed, this is where minor corrections can be completed and any patchiness from healing will be gone over again.
It is recommended to re-book every 12-18 months to avoid fading, loss of colour pigment, and/or patchiness. Certain skin types, skin care procedures, and UV damage can hasten these fading effects. Do not leave re-fresh appointments too long as the permanent makeup procedure may need to be started again from scratch.

You can purchase a pre-numbing cream from the pharmacy called Emla, apply this 40 minutes before coming in to help prevent the pain.
While you are there also purchase your aftercream Bepanthen Scarring Gel (not normal Bepanthen) as it helps your brows heal 50% faster (aftercare products are highly recommended).
Please note if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any sort of Hepatitis you must not undergo this brow enhancement.
Ensure you do not take any blood thinning tablets like Ibuprofen, fish oil tablets, if you are using any prescribed blood thinners please consult your Doctor before discontinuing use.
Avoid any alcohol 24 hours before your procedure as it has a blood thinning effect.
Avoid exercise or caffeine the day of your procedure as this can increase your blood pressure.
No Botox, face peels, dermabrasion, skin needling, electrolysis, or laser treatments within 4 weeks of your brow procedure.
Discontinue use of all facial Retinols, acids, and peptides a week before your procedure, as this will prevent the pigment from holding and encourages cell turnover which will prevent proper healing.
You also will not be able to undergo this procedure if you have had sunburn in the past 2 weeks.
Please note scars and moles are unable to be microbladed or shaded, a space of approx. 1mm around any scars or moles will be left to avoid any irritation.
If you are aware of any needle, tattoo, and/or tattoo ink reactions, this procedure is not recommended.
If you have allergies or sensitivities to latex, adhesives, tapes, and pads please advise prior to your appointment as alternative materials may be used, or you will be advised if this treatment may not be suitable for you.

After the brow treatment use a fragrance-free baby wipe in a rubbing back and forward motion to remove all the lymph and blood materials that may form a scab.
Repeat this procedure every 15 mins for the first 3 hours. Besides your baby wipe please do not get your eyebrows wet for the 7 day healing process.
If the treatment was done late in the afternoon and you do not have time to wipe over your brows for 3 hours please ensure to sleep on your back and you protect the eyebrows from drying and wiping on your pillow overnight.
In the next 7 days, maintain facial hygiene and dab your brows with a clean and new fragrance-free baby wipe once a day.
Be careful not to rub your brows and simply just dab them as you could possibly rub the ink out of your microbladed brows. Rubbing with a baby wipe is only an exception on the very first day within the 3 hour period.
The only creams recommended are Bepanthen Scar Treatment Gel, Stratamed, or Strataderm. This can be used after the first 3 hours by rubbing in a very small sparse amount. Then once daily at night for the first 7 days, then reduce as needed. Recommended before bed and before showering.
Always wear a hat and large framed sunglasses with UV protection to protect your brows from the UV rays.
Do not pick, scratch, touch your healing brows, picking any scabs will take out the pigment and create scarring.
-
During the first 7 days avoid all creams, moisturisers, all make-up (foundation) in the eyebrow area.
Avoid any moisture on the brows including steam, showers, swimming pools, and spas. If they do get damp or wet, gently pat dry with a clean, lint-free, fragrance & alcohol-free cloth as soon as possible.
Avoid workouts that involve a lot of sweating, sauna, facial massage and steaming – inhalation.
Avoiding these should ensure better, infection-free free and clearer feather-stroked brows.
-
Sunbathing, solarium, light therapies, chemical peelings, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors.
Always avoid laser treatments over the treated area during the microblading/tattooing healing process (fraxel laser, IPL), because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.
Avoid use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy because these can lead to faster pigment fading – please consult with your Doctor before discontinuing use.
-
Always protect the eyebrows from the sun and once fully healed use SPF daily to prevent fading of pigment
The success of the treatment depends on the:
• skin quality
• post-treatment flow and care
• exposure to different external factors
All of these factors are out of the artist’s control, so any possibility to provide guarantees for the treatment is excluded.
